Description

The Michigan State University Clinical Genetics Service Laboratories consists of four separate laboratories;  Clinical Prenatal Screening, Clinical Molecular, Clinical Cytogenetics and Clinical Microarray. We are housed in the Department of Pediatrics and Human Development in the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University (MSU). These laboratories are CLIA certified (CLIA# 23D0650879) and CAP accredited (CAP#1 735408 and AU# 1183202). Dr. Sainan Wei, PhD, Director of the Genetics Laboratories, is an Associate Professor in the College of Human Medicine at MSU.  She is ABMG-board certified in both clinical molecular genetics and clinical cytogenetics. The laboratories have a multidisciplinary team of highly trained, experienced professionals that includes certified genetics counselors and laboratory technologists certified by the National Certification Agency (NCA).  The staff is available to assist you with questions regarding our laboratory services. We are fully capable of providing both clinical and research services, in state and out of state.  We have an existing test menu, but we are also interested in developing new tests that would meet your needs.
